Story of Milan in Short

Gopi falls in love with Radha, a rich zamindar’s daughter who studies in college. Their love is pure and innocent. He gives her a rose every day and even teaches her a folk song. But society and family create problems. Radha’s uncle forces her to marry another man. Tragedy strikes both of them. They die in difficult circumstances.
In their next birth, they meet again as educated young people and finally get the chance to live happily together. The film shows that true love never dies. It waits for the right time and comes back in another life.
Main Actors of Milan
Sunil Dutt plays the dual role of Gopi, the simple boatman, and Gopinath in the present life. He gives a very natural and heartfelt performance. Nutan plays Radha with great grace and emotion. Their on-screen chemistry is soft and memorable.
Jamuna plays Gauri, a village girl who loves Gopi. Pran appears as the negative character, Radha’s uncle. Deven Varma, Surendra, and other supporting actors also do a fine job. The cast makes the emotional story feel real and touching.

Why do I love the Movie Milan (1967) So Much ?
Milan is a simple and emotional film that shows pure love can survive even death. The performances of Sunil Dutt and Nutan, along with the unforgettable songs, especially the Awadhi song “Sawan Ka Mahina”, make it a true classic. There is another song which almost makes me cry and that is "Main Toh Deewana Deewana" which Sunil Dutt sings in heartbreak after Nutan gets married to Deven Verma.
